Hadoop Basics

E-Cell IIIT Hyderabad along with IEEE Student Branch of IIITH organized a workshop on “Hadoop Basics” conducted by CIS/GRSS Jt. Chapter, IEEE Hyderabad Section on Apr 8th and 9th, 2017. Mr. Arvind Agarwal (Lead developer on java/j2ee platform along with Hadoop implementation) and Mr. Swayam Prakash (Vice Chair, YP Technical Activities & Education Society) from IEEE covered the topics in Big Data and Hadoop such as HDFS, MapReduce, SQOOP, Hive and New & Upcoming Features and Tools in Hadoop. The session ended with a small talk by Prof. K. S. Rajan of IIIT Hyderabad on the 2nd day.
